Application of the “Rule of Law” in the time honoured Establishment’s tradition. Bankers’ case folders will read – ‘No action required’. Local news yesterday in my patch: “A 21 year old cook working in a local hospice who needs his car to travel 10 miles to work is required to pay £300 to have his car released by police after if it was stolen and taken for a ‘joy ride'”. The cook is on a zero hour contract and does not have the money; friends suggested to crowd fund the release fee to get back his car.
That is appalling
Déjà vu. I’ve heard it before. PPI, Forex, Libor, precious metal price manipulation, Eurobond fraud, mortgage backed securities, rate swap derivatives. Nothing will actually change for the better until the crooks start serving prison terms. While they continue to fund and employ our politicians that ain’t going to happen.
