It's half term and I am taking a break. In the proverbial language of politicians, I want to spend time with my family.
The blog will suffer as a result, although I suspect not completely: writing this thing is a bit like breathing for me.
I am not turning comments off but if it takes some time for moderation to take place, please do understand.
And if your comment isn't strictly necessary might you give it a miss? That will give me more time for birdwatching, drinking tea and even going to the pub.
Thanks.

Glad to hear you are taking a bit of a rest, Richard. Enjoy yourself -and thanks again for you blog, still one of the best for challenging the dominant narrative! A combination of tea drinking and pub visits will be fairly diuretic-you might need your laptop in the loo!! Look forward to a recharged Murphy in a weeks time.
Do it – you’ve more than earned it.
However, experience tells me that you’ll find it hard to stay away.
True
Family just up after 10 am
The dog and I were walking soon after 6
And a blog just developed on the way
Where would we be without you Richard!
