Our duty to engage with politics

Posted on

I think this video by John Sentamu is a powerful justification for the engagement of churches, charities and civil society in politics. And it provides a powerful commentary on the need for equality. So I think it worth sharing:

I work with political parties - I will advise any that are not racist that want to talk to me - and am not a member of a political party.

But that is different from being apolitical. We have a duty to be political because that is the process of asking questions abut the way the world we live in as managed. And that we must do.
