My Christmas humbug:
Amazon “paid £1.8m tax on sales of £3.35bn”. Whilst I am in no way saying that Amazon’s practices are fair, it always bugs me that these publications quote tax paid compared to revenue.
It is difficult to compare tax paid to profit (due to intra-company expenses etc being the key issue), but comparing tax to revenue is completely pointless.
