Worth watching a recent short talk by Chomsky:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6mhj-j0z-fk-he's still going strong and delineating the neo-liberal trashing of social values.
As you say, this is quite a new idea. In the US it has reached an apotheosis where local politicians stand on Nil-tax platforms. When the local government collapses (which is rather inevitable with no tax=no revenue), they rub their hands in glee.
I don’t see it working in the UK but I’ve heard Tory candidates trying it on.
It’s so simple, but couched in so much obfuscation by the neoliberals.
Don’t apologise for saying this now, nor for saying it again and again.
