Please accept my apologies if the blog has not worked properly today. Without any warning from my internet service supplier (1&1) I filled the database for this blog at about 7.30 this morning, after which neither I or anyone else could post to it.
My great WordPress support man - Andy Moyle - got to work and by tonight the blog has been shifted to a new database (in bits), been out back together again and as far as I can see is working again.
But to all those who commented today and whose words of wisdom have been lost I apologise: I could not even put up a blog to warn of the problem.
But take comfort. The new database is six times bigger than the old one. That should keep this blog going for a while.
Thanks for reading this post.

Six times as big — a challenge indeed!
Hi Richard, no worries, glad you’re back!
Can I take this opportunity to mention your search function? When I search for terms your site allows me once – then I get redirected to this:
http://www.directdomains.com/profile/taxresearch.org/?utm_source=DirectDomains&utm_medium=taxresearch.org&utm_campaign=directdomains_shed&traffic_id=TDFS_DDShed&traffic_type=DirectDomains
Could you ask the lovely Andy to have a look at it?
I’ve asked!
Good to know it was nothing personal!
