Jersey’s printing money

Jersey is issuing £20 million of new notes.

I could make a cheap jibe that this is one way for it to solve its economic woes.

But I know that in practice it can only do so with reserve backing for gthe notes issued.

But it was tempting....

Just a simple question. I would like to know the cost of these new notes to the tax payer, with the commissioning of art work and setting the production into place doesn’t cost peanuts. Has anyone any answers? In a time when we are told to pull our belts in, government still insists on spending money.
