In the spirit of openness that I espouse I should disclose that I have (as of yesterday) become a consultant to the World Bank and will be remunerated by them as a result.
It’s not as grand as it sounds: I’m being paid to prepare a conference paper that may become a chapter in a book. But in case this might represent a conflict of interest I disclose it now and will do so again if I think it important.
