Isle of Man makes a small step forward

New approach needed to tackle tax havens - Accountancy Age.

The Isle of Man says multilateral Tax Information Exchange Agreements are the way forward.

I agree.

But whilst there's an absence of automatic information exchange the smoking gun to make them work won't exist.

So drop the withholding option under the European Union Savings Tax Directive Isle of Man - then we'll believe you aren't deliberately harbouring tax evaders. Until then you very obvioulsy are.
