Accountancy Age reports:
The taxman will no longer negotiate settlements with taxpayers who use tax planning that is challenged in court.
HM Revenue & Customs is to adopt a no compromise stance in cases where it believes it has a strong case. In such cases HMRC will not settle for anything less than 100p in the pound.
Quite right too. Abusive tax planning must not be allowed to pay.
I note E & Y do not agree.

I think in the interests of disclosure, you should publish your full uneditied tax returns, both personal and corporate.

We have debated between ourselves whether all returns should be on public record, as they are, for example, in some Scandinavian countries and have so far not found justifictaion for this.
What\’s the basis for your suggestion? And why me alone?
