That’s the way to do it – bank protests Spanish style

Posted on

A few months ago, the Spanish anti-capitalist activist group flo6x8.com slipped into one of the offices of Banco Santander in Seville.

Activists planted seven ‘transistors’ across the bank to play music.

And then the Rumba dancing started.

Hat tip: Liberal Conspiracy

That said, UK Uncut's plans to have "read ins" as library closure protests, "surgeries" to highlight NHS cuts, play groups to highlight cuts to Sure Start and more are all powerful. They make clear what the narrative is on this issue: that banks are to blame for the problem we're in and banks are the last to pay for it.

This time there's no doubt UK Uncut are hitting the right target and I suspect their action will be popular as a result.
