The man who invented the London libel industry

October 13th, 2009

The man who invented the London libel industry | People in the News | People | The First Post.

A profile of Peter Carter Ruck (or as Private Eye would call him Pater Carter - no better not go there).

This is the man who did more than most  destroy free speech in this country.

He’s dead. He can’t sue. Which is why someone said of him (posthumously):

He did for freedom of speech what the Boston Strangler did for door-to-door salesmen.

His firm carries on the war against freedom to this day.
