As Rachel Reeves at Davos shows,Labour was on the side of people. Now, it’s on the side of wealth and those who fleece the people.

As the London Playbook newsletter from Politico notes this morning:

Larry Elliot's Guardian write-up today with his account of John McDonnell's trip to Davos six years ago — when Jeremy Corbyn's shadow chancellor pledged to stick it to the “global elite” by telling said elite they were “held in contempt.” Reeves will today tell those same “members of the global elite” that “Labour intends to restore Britain's reputation as a place to do business.” It's been a journey.

Quite a journey.

Most of it has been in the wrong direction.

Labour was on the side of people.

Now, it's on the side of wealth and those who fleece the people.
