This is the evening of Tuesday, the 7th April 2026. Remember it. This might be the last time we have something approximating to world peace for some time to come.
Donald Trump is threatening tonight to blast Iran. He's saying he's sending it to hell. He's going to attack the power plants. He's going to attack the bridges. He's going to attack the desalination plants. He's going to attack the civilian population.
All of those things are war crimes, and all of them are because Iran is not reopening the Strait of Hormuz, something that was open before he attacked Iran, with Israel, on February 28th.
Let's be clear about what is going to happen. If Trump attacks Iran as he says he will, Iran will defend itself. In international law, it has the right to do so. It is being attacked by an aggressor who has no legal basis for its action. As a consequence, it says it will knock out desalination plants in Saudi Arabia, in Dubai, in Kuwait, in Oman, and in Qatar.
The consequence? People across the whole of the Middle East will be without water. Without water, people will be on the move. We could be seeing the biggest refugee crisis in history created overnight, and at the same time, we could see an escalation of a war that is already having a massive global political cost to a scale that we cannot imagine at present.
All of this is dependent upon Donald Trump, a man who is, by all accounts, frankly insane, mad, out of control, and utterly incapable of making a logical decision.
This man has got his hands on the weapons to deliver annihilation, as he puts it, for the people of Iran.
The threat is real. The consequences will be dire. As you go to bed tonight, you might want to think about praying. If you don't regularly, this might be the moment to try. By tomorrow morning, we may not have world peace.

Praying for peace in these troubling times
Like you I’m truly scared, of he planning on nuclear, now that he’s removed the attorney general and senior military?

I’m agnostic but was brought up a Catholic so will be saying my prayers tonight.
If this does turn out to be the case the consequences will be worse than dire with the US proving its fascist credentials for all the doubters and supporters out there.
Hopefully this will open everyone’s eyes to what’s really been going on.
I’ve been reading a little about the Department of Defense’s Law of War Manual.
Revised Section 5.6.8.5 (revised under Obama and still in effect) says:
“Electric power stations are generally recognized to be of sufficient importance to a State’s capacity to meet its wartime needs of communication, transport, and industry so as usually to qualify as military objectives during armed conflicts.”
Clinton targeted electrical infrastructure in Kosovo, Bush did it in Iraq, Obama did it in Libya.
If history repeats then Trump will absolutely do this tomorrow, and no boo hoo but “international law” will stop that.
