Child porn is an offshore issue

Posted on

It looks likely that Chris Langham will go to prison for the downloading of child pornography.

As a parent of young children, and as a human being, child pornography appals me. Actually, pornography appals me.

But the point has to be made: the supply of this stuff is illegal. And it's readily available. From offshore, of course.

Nothing excuses acquiring this material. But I believe Langham when he says he was abused a a child. I suspect that is a cause of his clear emotional turmoil. Abuse scars for life. Anything that facilitates that abuse should be stopped.

It's another reason for closing down the secret world of offshore. Abuse requires that secrecy. We should not allow it that cover.
