The sand mural has my approval. I know that’s not worth much! I much prefer that to splashing red paint over the Turnberry Golf Club buildings or digging up the greens.
Well done Greenpeace.
RIP Janey Godley and her legendary placard, Turnberry 2016.
He slaps you around a bit & the black eye was cos you provoked him that night when he was a bit drunk. But he still says he loves you, still gives you prezzies and still says that you are his secret No 1 & that still gives you that nice warm fuzzy feeling. Obvs, he also controls through various systems much of your finances so leaving could be really really difficult and of course there are the kids to think of, Trident and F35 & the others.
Abusive relationships happen both at the individual and international level. Details differ but the contours are always the same: abuse by one side, self-delusion by the other.
The UK’s independence day cannot happen too soon. The United States of America is the enemy of the UK, it always has been, it always will be.
A little ditty about that . https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PeJMuEKF3wc
Spot on.
Reform is saying -after 14 years of cuts and under funding and privatisation- there is a huge amount of waste. I suspect if they ever got to office, it would be like DOGE ; a large sum promised and only about a tenth actually made. Their cuts would do tremendous damage.
They say they would move the point at which we pay tax up to £20,000 which would people over a thousand but with an insurance model health system most of that could be wiped out.
The worse aspect is the complete denial of climate change with all the ill affects on present and future generations. We know why. It is as the picture suggests.
It is the Trump agenda.
I look for hope. Across Western Europe support for the Far Right seems to peak at 25-30%.
In local elections pensioners tend to be a larger proportion of those turning out and more of them are Conservative and more influenced by tabloid newspapers. Reform have taken Labour votes but taken more from the Tories. In general elections that is less so. Programs get more exposure.
The relentless cuts to public services and the extraction of rents and rising price of houses is creating frustration and alienisation among many people.
Being against their Fascist agenda is not enough, We need better answers to the problems which face us.
If we can come up with an answer to that -and get the message across- I feel their support would collapse.
Yet again it is why I think your work is so important. When change comes, it can come quite quickly.
Yes, it can work really well.
Musk and the Swasticar posters spring to mind.
Tesla’s sales still falling in Europe. April down 80.7% in Sweden, 67.2% in Denmark, 59.4% in France.

“MICROSOFT HIRES TRUMP ADVERSARY Microsoft is ditching the law firm that cut a deal with Trump, replacing it with one that is fighting the White House. [Reuters]”
I guess at least one billionaire does NOT fear Trump!
