Next week is half term.
And my turn to be principle child carer.
So activity will be below par here next week.
And comments will not be moderated that often. So please don’t start shouting, as some do.
In addition my tolerance of the comments that add little or nothing to debate (and that’s rather a lot of those that seek to oppose my views, I suggest) will be even lower than usual. take note therefore, unless you’ve got something to add, please don’t bother to comment because you’re likely to be deleted. And saying you disagree is not adding to debate, it’s just the creation of noise.

I’ve had some pleasure in deleting a large number of responses to the previous comment; many of them straightforwardly rude, others just confirming my basic premise, which is that debate with that tiny minority who seek to populate the blogosphere with a large number of comments based on prejudice and dogam but whose politics are from way beyond the political mainstream, who lack courtesy, and whose main aim is to undermine debate between those genuinely interested in seeking political and economic solutions to this countries and the world’s problems should not be welcomed here.
That is not a restraint of free speech. These people can populate Tim Worstall’s blog if they wish. And those who want to read them can go there.
But I’m interested in debate – and that means editorial freedom means these people are becoming less and less welcome here – because I’m interested in what others have to say – and not what these people repeat endlessly for the benefit of no one.
My tolerance of their presence will be limited as a consequence, and every time I enforce this policy traffic goes up.
