I've been a qualified accountant for over a quarter of a century. I have seen a lot of small business accounts. Most are horrible. Over the years I've written some solutions to this problem for clients, but none have been web based.

I can't guarantee I've now found the web based accounting solution that UK small businesses need, but FreeAgentCentral looks well worth a try. As a consultant it offers a lot that I need at the moment. It's intuitive. it's about more than accounting, and as much about business management and right now it's in Beta and as such is free.

Give it a look if this is the market you are in. Good solutions are hard to find in this sector - and most accounting packages are wholly alien to most business people. This looks accessible to me.
