As those who watch my videos will know, they have shifted from studio to home production of late. Overall, comments suggest that this new format is preferred to the old one. So I have decided to invest in the new format, using donations made to fund the process. This has just arrived:
I can imagine what the rest of today is going to be lost to.
Reviews suggest that this is the best vlogging (video blogging) camera currently available at anything like a reasonable price. But it looks like I have a lot to learn.

Your new home format videos are excellent and a definitely improvement on the somewhat clinical studio feel. It looks like you’ve invested in a a good vlogging camera too. What Sony version is it?
Also keep in mind good lighting as that makes quite an impact. Luckily yours seems fine so far. Hopefully I’ll have a home studio next year with a similar set up for my UBI vlogging. Can’t do it from my living room as the light is too bad.
Sony ZV1
Canon G7 Mk III was a close run alternative

This one will be going back…..
Oops. I’d probably go for Canon as all my other photography equipment is Canon, and I’ve found it very reliable. But Sony is usually good too. Hopefully your replacement will be fine.
I am regretting right now…..
That’s all well and good but please whatever you do do not start singing as the weather is bad enough as it is.
Thanx.
🙂
You may have to delve into the microphone settings.
I found googling your predicament and seeing what comes up the best way forward.

I am having it checked this morning
On factory settings it should simply work by being plugged in
It does not…
So it could be hardware
