Trouble at the Bank

Posted on

Alex Cobham has an excellent blog on the Guardian site concerning Paul Wolfowitz's problems at the World Bank. I recommend it.

George Monbiot covers some of the same ground in the Guardian itself.

The issue is clear: transparency and accountability cannot be exported by organisations that do not either believe in them, or set an example. The time for reform of the World Bank to ensure it does both these things has arrived.
