And here's today's Brexit update.
I have no clue what will happen today.
It will not, however, go as Boris Johnson wants.
Tories will scream about betrayal.
There will not have been a betrayal.
Brussels will be calmer than London.
Laura Kuensberg and Robert Peston will upset a lot of people on Twitter.
Beyond that your guess is as good as mine.

That’s cheered me up for the moment. Now I’ll walk the dog and think about the problems politicians should be dealing with.
Me too…
Rod White says:
“That’s cheered me up for the moment. Now I’ll walk the dog ….”
Ditto, but I have no dog to walk 🙁
Borrow one
Richard says – borrow one.
I don’t have a dog so I have to borrow my daughter’s. It suits the three of us. She can work, I can exercise and the dog can do what dogs do – chase squirrels, walk through mud and leave things for me to pick up. I don’t suppose that will change with Brexit but it will certainly be different with changing weather patterns.
Probably the only predictions that makes any sense. Feeling reassured.
Things are bad enough without mentioning Ms. K and Mr. P.
@Pilgrim
“Things are bad enough without mentioning Ms. K and Mr. P.”
I don’t pay any attention to either of them. I honestly couldn’t even say whether I think either of them is pro- or anti-Brexit. Do they really exist ?
Are either of them for real or just playing a part to keep the media circus rolling ?
Any half-decent actor could do that.
The Speaker’s response to Rees Mogg’s unorthodox use of a point of order to announce the parliamentary proceedings for the day (before sidling out of the house without explaining himself) might be its high-spot. I almost felt sorry for him, as he had clearly been hung out to dry by the No10 tacticians.
We will see whether it is Parliament that is crumbling under pressure, as has been vociferously protested from the government benches, or whether it is the Government (executive) falling apart and grasping at straws.
I might be just be tempted to bet my bent penny on the outcome…..
What isn’t going to happen today in Parliament that was planned to happen last Monday?
It is their own fantasy Queens Speech they are derailing, which should show everyone what a complete bollocks the prorogation was.
The Monday session was going to be about the NHS — which the opposition were going to use to remove from any future free trade deals incase of Brexit.
I know hmq is a little old lady perhaps even subject to some harmless senior moments. And the heir is not far off his dotter ness too – but the grand kids? Surely they are old enough to see the ruination of the monarchy? Is that why they are dispatched far away or diverted by media intrusions?
Meanwhile Dom, Bobo & JRM play liars poker against Barnier, Merkel & co. expecting not to be taken to the cleaners, like May was, when she tried the same.
My outside bet is on the Supreme Court being convened by the end of the week! .
MEANWHILE….
Divisive Prime Minister Johnson and his chief of staff take every opportunity to aggravate the insecurities of those poor wretches they convinced not just to want brexit, but to obsess about it – “are we there yet, is it done? Is it done? Is it done? Are we there?”
The more things change, the more this guileful, sly, unscrupulous elite prove themselves dangerous.
The Guardian website is giving a good running commentary on developments It looks like Barnier is keeping his job as chief EU negotiator and that Tusk will agree an ex tension. Also Scottish judges may find BOJO incontempt of court………….
I am keeping an eye on it in between struggling with what might fairly be called ‘big data’
May I end the day with a response to Bill Hughes? In keeping with the morning theme here – I see the ‘Scottish Judges’ are keeping BOJO on a short leash for the forseeable future 🙂
