More criticism of PWC’s work for the World Bank

Doing Business - Doing Business: An Independent Evaluation.

The criticism of the World Bank's use of the PWC 'Total Tax Contribution' aa a quasi-policy document by the World Bank seems to be growing.

Rightly too. The methodology is hopelessly flawed. The policy recommendations rigidly biased against the poor.

It's definitely one piece of work now headed for the scrap-heap as an indicator of the failure of the Washington Concensus thinking that it so clearly represents. And that's a cause in itself for minor celebration.
