The Observer highlighted a curious story today:
100 of the world's biggest multinationals help [Jersey] zoo look after its rare birds, insects and giant mammals and fund its research activities.
Why do they do that? I'll tell you. That's the little bits of cash left over from securitisation deals. You might call it feeding on the scraps.
And I have to say this: I'm an animal lover, and usually share my office with my dog, but is that really the best charity they could find to support? How about doing something for poverty next time? Or is that too much to ask?
