Throughout the weekend, I kept asking myself whether I should write a blog post about Rachel Reeves misrepresenting the economic background to her Budget, but then I asked myself: why?
The mainstream media has covered this issue.
Nobody now expects Rachel Reeves to tell the truth.
The fact that she dissembled (at best) to support her spreadsheet-balancing exercise is not really a surprise to anyone.
And no one expects her to ever have another go at presenting a Budget, because she and Keir Starmer are so obviously now failing leaders of the Labour Party, let alone the country.
So, having spent a lot of time over the last few weeks discussing all her many and miserable failings, I have decided that there is no point in documenting in detail yet another of them. Let's just agree: she's failed, and it's time for her to go.

Agreed.
Enough of these avatar politicians, these blank pages, these continuity props.
Sometimes less is more, Richard. And in this case that’s true on more than one level.
(p.s. I think a comment I posted lateish yesterday evening may have been missed. No worries. It’s a new week now).
I will search – but am not aware I have missed any – but WordPress sometimes does odd things.
