There was a discussion here this morning.
Jaqueline was offended on behalf of Christians that white male so-called Christian nationalists claim the right to use the term Christian when they are clearly anything but that.
She felt another word was needed.
'Christianists' is the best we have to offer so far.
Thoughts?

“The Old Testament of the Bible has nothing to do with Christianity.” Quite so – the New Testament is thus referred to as it is “New”.
Many years ago I was friendly with a chap who was prone to proclaiming his Christianity. I believe he belonged to a group which did not have a Minister, they took it in turns to stand up and preach. He referred often to reading the “Scriptures”. I passed no comment on this. One day he said something which lead me to say to him “You sound like a Pharisee” and his response “What’s a Pharisee?” For me this says it all. If you want to know about Jesus consult the New Testament. My friend clearly didn’t.
“Pharisees” is what they are.
Given that one symbol of Christianity is a fish, perhaps these perverters of the gospel should be called Sharks.
