Hi Richard
I love these new pithy memes, but please, when you repost to Mastodon can you add AltText. Many of us won’t Boost posts without alt text; it’s seen as very disrespectful to those who use screen readers (which it is, tbh).
Are you always rude Kim, because it seems I can do nothing right for you? It is getting wearing.
And for the record, no I will not be adding AltText to these, because that would rather spoil the point.
I do a lot to accommdate here – most of the site can be reconfigured in various ways, and that is rare. But this is too marginal to worry about. Sorry.
Apologies if I seemed rude. It certainly wasn’t meant to be. For the most part I am a huge fan of your work, even though I’m occasionally critical.
I believe myself to be a reasonable expert on Mastodon, which you have admitted you are not. I was just trying to help you improve your engagement on that platform. Are you not interested in that?
Apologies: I thought you were asking here.
I have not mastered Mastodon.
Maybe it best that I do not bother. It seems to offer very low rewards for a lot of complication.
10/10.
You’re very kind
Pilgrim, in true Trumpist style (which I think we’ll probably need to get used to as Starmer will likely agree that we become the 51st US state if Trump can’t get Canada), I’ll say it’s the greatest meme ever posted, certainly a “bunker buster”, and obviously will “obliterate” any opposition – despite no evidence to support my claim. So, 15 out of 10 🙂
Will there always be water coming out of the taps, though?
Good question.
Begging the question: who is jesus (I guess the Uk population) & who is the chief rabbi (the corporates and the rich?).
I think you’re getting it
and who might Barabbas be?
Farage -the people choosing the wrong one?
🙂
Actually, Pilate did not walk away and leave the problem to others . . . he ‘solved’ it himself, by having an innocent man executed.
A fact which does not, however, spoil the analogy with the present Labour leadership. At all.
I thought the legend was that he washed his hands and allowed the jewish leaders to decide who should be executed?
Labour washes its hands and lets the market decide
Exactly my point, then
The Jews were not allowed to administer the death penalty themselves under Roman rule. So, while the Jewish leaders demanded that Jesus be crucified and Barabbas released, Pilate had to sign the death warrant. And he could have refused, and simply released Jesus.
Very good 🙂
The stench of spiritual decay surrounds us.
Right now Labour are washing their hands of their very own legislation. There’s almost nothing left of it.
But they are determined to die on a hill that they blew up themselves. Even in Timm’s final chaotic speech, he cannot explain what form the final legislation will take and whether MPs will be able to amend any legislation that results from his 2026 autumn review. Voting now starting. I’ve never seen anything like it! Total chaos. Nobody seems to know what they will be voting for, not even Steven Timms.
