This is the latest from Led by Donkeys.
It tells us what we already know.
But what it also says is that we weren't just taken for a ride by those on the left who have swung so far to the right, but most decidedly by the right itself, including Farage.
There wasn't a conspiracy, and not just because these people are not capable of organising one. Instead, there was a belief in a dogma that was utterly incapable of delivering for us, and that madness is still at the core of the government we have. It's a belief in neoliberalism that has got us to the mess we're in.

Corbyn made mistakes for sure – his Brexit non-stance springs to mind – but he was the last decent person anywhere near the top of a major party. He will remain so as well.
Neoliberals of all colours smelled blood and bejaybers they were at him like a pack of starved wolves.
I think I detected the voice of Gavin Eslar. It would not surprise me if he was doing the commentary as I saw him at a local European Movement meeting. Maybe the frightening pace at which those in Westminster are pushing Europe towards war will also push for greater European unity including the UK rejoining the EU? At the moment Labour’s slogan seems to be “Turn wheelchairs into swords” but for how much longer can Starmer carry on like this. Perhaps we are approaching the end game for neoliberalism.
Starmer’s Labour – turning “Wheelchairs into Warheads” and “taking the PIP out of pipsqueaks”
or
“Labour, taking us from Welfare to Warheads”.
(This is an Open Source Slogan, use it however you like)
Very good
I’m going to become a …. village-idiot…..& get appointed to the House of Lords & a safe job for life. A nice comfy place where I can spount shite until I pop my clogs.
Well done Dan-the-man, full time village-idiot and one of the architects of making UK citizens poorer – much poorer. I wonder if the people on the tube that he rubs shoulders with realise that he has made them materially worse off?
And I wonder who has benefitted from Brexit? Because somebody did. When politicians make obviously bad choices, always ask cui bono?
Even that underplayed it, because the losses of Brexit triggered further austerity and the resulting collapse in those public services that weren’t already on their knees
During the Brexit debate I went on one of his sites and saw links to the Taxpayers Alliance, the Heritage foundation and Cato Institute. At that point it was clear beyond doubt the real motives for Brexit.
The Heritage Foundation claimed to have written two-thirds of Trump’s first administration ‘s legislation. They are the main authors of the Project 2025 document.
The warning was there. Too much of our media and political class chose to ignore it.
Hannan has been paid for two decades to sell his country out. There’s word for that, and I’d include Farage in there. Whether it’s far right US money, corporate grabs or Israeli far-right influence, this country is being betrayed and sold out.
Surely Hannan has been guilty of Bribery & Corruption: taking money to instigate the selling off of UK Assets? Oh, just a minute that’s not an offence if it’s got parliamentary protection! Silly me! I now view Westminster proceedings as ‘foreign news’ and from a Scottish perspective the UK will be destroyed by Westminster, not the devolved nations.

Brexit will be milk and honey on day 1 like champagne falling from the sky Nigel said – why on earth do the national media not remind voters it was reform who promised us this and why is the country falling for his next lies. God help us!
John Crace in today’s Guardian (well I read it today anyway) takes Hannan down a peg or ten. Worth a look.
For me, it is hard for me not to burst forth into a feeling of hatred for this fellow – there he is standing in his ermine robe ennobled to the HoL and rewarded for his arrogance and persistence in helping to undermine the economic well being of millions of people with no sense of any responsibility at all.
Dan Hanan is an insult to………….well, just about everything I can think of really. And so typical of these times in this country.
Daniel Hannan in his finest ermine should serve as a strong, solid reminder that our political institutions are beyond redemption at the very least, and need replacing by those fit for a 21st Century society.
We need a complete renewal of our current so-called democracy, starting with an agreed written constitution – agreed by the citizenry, not our self-serving bunch of useless, compromised politicians an their hangers on.
And our MSM must be obliged to tell the truth, not propaganda.
I have only just started……..
