Immediately – anything else will be too late.
Remember South Africa? Time for Boycott and Divestment too.
Israel is not acting alone, relying on the USA for military might.
The UK and Europe are facilitating this.
Should sanctions extend to the USA, UK and Europe?
How do we sanction ourselves?
Thank you, Richard.
Two of my employer’s clients are involved in occupied Palestine. They and their clients and bankers can be boycotted, named and shamed.
The logo of one client is prominently displayed when its machines are used to demolish Palestinian property.
Maybe the Government can’t sanction itself, but perhaps the people can do something?
Vote for someone else?
Take the government to court?
Peaceful protest?
Satire?
Ridicule?
“The logo of one client is prominently displayed when its machines are used to demolish Palestinian property. ”
Caterpillar & JCB both supply equipment to demolish Paltestinian homes. As I pointed out to a former client in the same business – easy PR win against the two cos – but they never did used these facts. pity.

This illustrates the sensitivity to even changing an agreement (EU – Israel) & the bullshit & blather that Israel comes up with.
e.g quoting Israel …“In the midst of this grim reality, the European Union is considering a ‘review’ of its relationship with Israel. This is not a policy adjustment — it is a moral distortion,” Israel said in the document, dated June 18. “Such an initiative is not only unjustified; it is outrageous and indecent,” Israel said. “It reflects a blunt failure to distinguish between a democracy defending its citizens, and genocidal countries and organizations that target Israeli civilians and use their own as human shields. It demonstrates a blindness to the real threat: to Israel, to regional stability, and ultimately to Europe itself.”
“moral distortion” & “genocidal countries and organizations”.. so that would be Israel and its IDF. As a Commission guy observed to me – what happens if life becomes untenable in Iran? millions of refugees in Europe, whilst Israel & its apatheid state wets iself with laughter. If the EU cuts off ALL contact with Israel, ALL, the wretched trouble maker would soon stop making trouble and murdering people. Isolation. Sanctions. .. hopefully peace.
Meanwhile the UK plans to smear the Palestinian peace protesters taking direct action as terrorists. With the main justification that their actions are too expensive to deal with, it seems, because spraying paint results in “serious damage” equivalent to violence and risk to life. It is inconvenient but it is terrorism?
Just to note in passing that a somehow there never seems to be any shortage of money to wage war, but precious little to advance the course of peace.
At one stage the MOD said the women camped at Greenham Common could be harbouring terrorists, and the women certainly took direct action against the base fence many times, but as I recall no one ever said they were terrorists.
