I found this encouraging this morning. This man was photographed yesterday in the mass demonstrations against Trump across the USA:
This is what speaking truth to power looks like. A person of conviction says that they have had enough. They know the truth. They're able to cut through all the crap, and summarise the situation with clarity. And then, they have the courage to speak out, whatever the consequences for them might be.
I applaud this man.
I applaud his actions.
I thank him, whoever he is, and I do not know, for what he said, and for his saying it.
I wish him well.
I wish that his wish comes true. We need to defeat fascism.

I still have hope for America, but not much for this septic isle. I mean did you witness the trooping of the colour t’other day?
Pointless.
I avoided it.
I went birdwatching and refused to watch it on what is called the news.
wot colours did they troop? (pink?) why? & for whom? & was gov’ expenditure involved?
At least it was a damn sight more entertaining than Frump’s so-called parade! I did watch it, I like the horses, and I like the hats. The ladies hats that is! And the music was a damn sight better than the carp that Frump’s lot played too. I lasted about half an hour when the Frump thing was broadcast here later on, so boring. And the soldiers were out of step which really irritated me. They all looked miserable as sin too!
Basically I was killing time until the Covid vaccine nurse arrived, but it was as good as anything else to pass the time – damned with faint praise! And I always like to see the fly pasts – we see lots of the Hawks and Texans training over Llyn, out from Anglesey (prob should call it Ynys Môn to be politically correct?) when we’re at the caravan, I love to see and hear them screaming over. Can’t wait to get back there!
I think a few top military brass heads will roll in the next few weeks or months; this dull grey parade was their protest against the fascist dictator masquerading as potus. Obviously they were not given direction about shiny brass bands or dress uniform, or any of the elements of a spectacle.

He is in Cairo at the moment having been stopped with thousands of others from going to the Gaza border. There was a you-tube video yesterday showing a Welshman, a nurse who had been in Gaza helping women with newborn babies, who could not feed them because they were so emaciated. He was pleading with Egyptian policemen to let them through.
over a thousand people have had their passports taken away by the Egyptian police, and sent back to Cairo, including Mandela’s grandson.
Thus does the Egyptian gov (elected?) show it knows which side its bread is buttered – the “complicit with genocide” side. Like all good curs, having been beaten a few times by Israel, it does anything for a quiet life,
It’s an “elected” government that replaced an elected government which was not prepared to grovel at the feet of the Western Empire. An old tale, retold often.
Fascism, maybe going over the top a little I would say!
Even the mainstream media in the USA calls Trump a fascist now.

Facists love war. Trump loves to talk about peace – but what he really likes are wars that he can win – & look good.
I’m desperately concerned for this country, sliding ever right wards in governments while the citizenry remains 70% socialist/social democrat. The young are being fed nonstop far right propaganda via various channels, especially males. The MSM feed their elders lie after lie. There are no political entities left of centre right. I’m waiting for our ‘incident’, sure MI5 have some deluded non white kids lined up for an ‘event’ just like they’ve done right back to the miners strike and before. Starmer can then show ‘leadership’ by tramping on human rights.
Not sure you people are living in the real world of the working class, it seems you have your own way of cherry picking what you want?
