Yesterday’s video, a day on

Posted on

Yesterday's video was popular. It had more than 420,000 views in the first 24 hours after publication. I am not sure that suggests it went viral, but not many of ours get that many views.

So now, the confession. I recorded it on Wednesday, having had a hunch that diplomatic progress on Thursday or Friday might not be good. My instincts proved to be correct. The sentiments were entirely appropriate when I recorded the video. Yesterday they were even more so.

I suspect that a significant part of the viewership was in the USA. It's good to strike a chord.

It would be even better if the past presidents acted to save US democracy. They need to have the courage to do so. That courage is the least we should expect of people who have been commanders in chief.

And now another confession: at this stage the data from YouTube on revenue is almost entirely random. After 24 hours, they give no real clue as to what it might, or might not earn. It will be more than the figure shown.
