The government claims the Tories have created 3.4 million new jobs in the UK since 2010. Are they sure they want to boast about this?

All data used is from the ONS or HMRC.

I think what the government has created are remarkably few jobs (especially as the population rose by 4.3 million in this period) and those that have been created pay very poorly.

The increase in the numbers in employment will include full time students, many of whom now have to combine study with work due to high fees and rents. More people of retirement age are also having to work.
