100,000 thanks to Jack Monroe

I was aware yesterday that I was both approaching 100,000 Twitter followers and that the short thread I wrote yesterday was both proving popular and had added a couple of hundred or so followers when I saw an on-screen notification whilst watching The Last Leg that food and poverty campaigner Jack Monroe had liked several tweets in the thread.

Then the notifications of new followers began to flow in. By the time I went I bed I had 300 more followers and just now this was the situation:

So, my thanks to Jack, and those new followers. There is campaigning to be done, and Twitter is, for all its critics, a force for good in this way.
