Sorry. Can’t watch the odious little man.
He is outstandingly revolting.
He’s too easy a target for ridicule. The people we should really be concerned about are the 28,992 voters in the constituency of Somerset North East who actually considered him to be a suitable Member of Parliament in the 21st century.
Whatever one thinks of individuals it’s those who vote them into power who are the true ‘culprits’ – at least in the so-called western democracies. Such as 62,979,636 Americans who were persuaded that Trump was Presidential material. Once elected they then get a public platform for their dangerously nutty ideas and hypocrisy, viz. Rees-Mogg, who unfortunately is not alone. “Something is rotten in the state of Denmark.”
John D says:
“He [Mogg]’s too easy a target for ridicule.”
But almost impossible to parody.
Well, Evelyn Waugh famously found JRM’s father incredibly easy to parody & came up with Scoop, arguably the funniest novel in the English Language in the 20th C.
Possibly our problem is less the presence of a JRM & more the absence of an Evelyn Waugh
Mogg versus Corbyn. Now there’s a debate worth the time to watch.
