It's half term. My guys deserve a break. And I need one.
So it's time to get some steam in the blood.
To go looking for marsh harriers.
And to let the dog have a run on the beach.
As well as watch a film, or two.
And duck out of cooking, maybe.
Whatever the reason I may not be paying as much attention here as usual. There will be something like the sound of silence a little more often until into the weekend.

If you love beaches, birds and wildlife – and have a fondness for Scotland – I would strongly recommend a visit to the beautiful island of Islay where you may see sea and golden eagles, joyful choughs, hen harriers, and in winter half of the worlds population of Greenland barnacle geese mingle with 60% of the worlds’ Greenland White fronted geese. It is a naturalist’s paradise – and home to eight whisky distilleries should that be of interest! I can’t think of anywhere better to re-charge your batteries.
