Anyone can apply to vote by post. You don't need to give a reason. And given that young people seem especially unlikely to vote in person giving them a postal vote application form might be the best present for their future that you could choose right now.
But you must make sure that they apply in advance. To vote by post in the general election the right Electoral Registration Office must have the application by 5pm on 23 May 2017. Completed forms must be sent to the appropriate local Electoral Registration Office.
If you only manage to get one more person to vote in this election you will have made a difference. And that's got to be worthwhile.

Indeed an excellent initiative. At times it seems as if the Tories change the rules to make it more difficult for young people to vote, bu that would be undemocratic so my interpretation must be biased.
