Google is to be subject to a European anti-trust inquiry following allegations that it abused its dominant position in the search and advertising market.
Why not add in a review of its European tax affairs whilst they’re about it?

Isn’t it that taxation policy and, especially, tax investigations, remain the responsibility of member states?
That is one power grab which the Commission has not (yet?) managed to achieve.
