The only real reason for concern [about debt] is political. The United States can deal with its debts if politicians of both parties are, in the end, willing to show at least a bit of maturity. Need I say more?
He's right.
The right are wrong.

Does the definition of “maturity” include the concept of cutting governmental spending ……. ever?
Or is it a one-way street?

Pensions have been cut
Benefits have been cut
Many things are paid for now which weren’t
Defence has won
PFI has won
So it’s not a one way street unless you’re big business
