The walls aren’t tumbling down yet

There’s some more blowing of the trumpets still needed

But informed sources tell me Switzerland will be announcing reforms this afternoon that are intended to keep it off any sanctions listing.

I have no doubt that they won’t succeed in that objective.

They need to be on a list until actions follow words.

And I suspect the words will not be enough to make me that happy.

But let’s be clear — a few months ago I could not have imagined this happening. I can’t help but welcome the direction of travel. We’re heading off in the right direction now, even if we still have some way to go.
