These are my links for January 31st:
- 20% of small businesses to miss tax deadline - Accountancy Age - They say they're too busy. In which case the solution is simple: increase the £100 fine to £1,000 and the response rate will increase dramatically
- HMRC's tax returns system goes down - Accountancy Age - It's tax submission deadline day and HMRC's web site can't handle the traffic. Don't blame HMRC I say - just get it done on time.
- PwC gave PM free advice - Accountancy Age - Amazing, isn't it? No chance of any influence there then.
