The campaign for country-by-country reporting for the extractive industries is hotting up in Europe. The industry fight back is very strong. Their aim is to preserve the secrecy behind which abuse occurs.
Today ONE, an organisation with which I am not always in sympathy but which has been campaigning on this issue, has an advert in the FT saying:
I think the view they give is right.
Please help bring pressure to bear on this issue: we need transparency now, more than ever.
