The Jersey response to their civil servant’s emails

Posted on

The Jersey Evening Post has published two articles resulting from publication of the emails sent in error by a Jersey civil servant to the Observer newspaper and published on this web site. The first simply draws attention to this fact and offers the usual sort of response one would expect from Senator Le Sueur, Jersey's finance minister.

The second deals with questions Deputy Geoff Southern has asked in the States of Jersey arising from these mails. Geoff asks the sort of questions few are willing to raise in Jersey, and I admire him for it. Senator Le Sueur chose to duck the questions by simply answering from the Jersey perspective. He should know that is not the only point in issue. And he should know that will not be the end of the matter.
