Deliciously heterodox, but all I would add is that we have to tax the rich because that untaxed wealth ends up the political system as funding for parties on the understanding that they underspend Government money on public services so that private money can be used instead to create profit or ownership for profit.
It’s a vicious cycle basically that taxation would break.

Well said too Pilgrim Slight Return… and those ‘rich and powerful’ are enabled to use and abuse their people (employees) and Public resources ….,
