{"id":9962,"date":"2011-05-11T08:12:22","date_gmt":"2011-05-11T07:12:22","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.taxresearch.org.uk\/Blog\/?p=9962"},"modified":"2011-05-11T13:44:17","modified_gmt":"2011-05-11T12:44:17","slug":"the-agenda-of-employee-abuse-is-laid-out-by-a-lib-dem","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.taxresearch.org.uk\/Blog\/2011\/05\/11\/the-agenda-of-employee-abuse-is-laid-out-by-a-lib-dem\/","title":{"rendered":"The agenda of employee abuse is laid out&#8230;.by a Lib Dem"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>As <a href=\"http:\/\/www.guardian.co.uk\/politics\/2011\/may\/11\/employee-rights-attacked?CMP=twt_fd\" target=\"_blank\">the Guardian reports:<\/a><\/p>\n<blockquote><p>The government is to extend its review of\u00a0employment law to tighten up discrimination compensation and dilute rules protecting employees' rights when a business is transferred from one owner to another.<\/p>\n<p>Lib Dem minister Ed Davey will announce the new areas up for review at the Institute for Economic Affairs today as the government attempts to clear away restrictions for employers.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>So abuse is to be permitted.<\/p>\n<p>Protection of employees when a buisness is sold is to be diluted to allow for more privatisation and outsourcing - with intent to cut wages.<\/p>\n<p>And all of this done at Thatcher's favourite far-right think tank by a Lib Dem.<\/p>\n<p>The abuse of the people\u00a0of this country by a minority continues.<\/p>\n<p>And let's not pretend that the Lib Dems are part of a progressive majority. They're not.
