If that is the case, we can assume access to the Suez Canal is blocked. This massively increases the scale of all Far and Middle East supply chain issues (and I apologise for using the colonial terms to aid communication on this occasion).<\/p>\n<p>The world's economic crisis just deepened, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.taxresearch.org.uk\/Blog\/2026\/05\/06\/the-seven-stages-of-meltdown-coming-our-way\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">as I forecast months ago<\/a>. That previous post is worth re-reading now.<\/p>\n<p>This is moving beyond concern into a crisis.<\/p>\n<p>When will Burnham react?<\/p>\n<p>Will Healey notice?<\/p>\n<p>Those are the questions to be asked, because if they do not, things will just get much worse, and very quickly.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Another of my predictions is coming true.
