Housing is unaffordable because lending policy has been allowed, by institutional choice, to push prices beyond the reach of a person on an average wage. These are policy outcomes, not market forces. <\/span><span style=\"color: #000000; font-size: 12.0pt;\">They were chosen<\/span><span style=\"color: #000000; font-size: 12.0pt;\">. That is true in the UK, and it is much the same in India, as the video explores.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0 0 1em 0; line-height: 1.6;\"><span style=\"color: #000000; font-size: 12.0pt;\">The alternative is bottom-up thinking<\/span><span style=\"color: #000000; font-size: 12.0pt;\">.
