Quaint I know, but built into its charter, I note.<\/p>\n<p>In Guernsey and Jersey they ignore that. Listen t<a href=\"http:\/\/www.bbc.co.uk\/iplayer\/episode\/p00f7d0w\/Kay_Langlois_07_03_2011\/\">o this interview<\/a> with a Guernsey Deputy who questions the VAT abuse in the island (start at 21 minutes in) and you'll here a typical interview by a BBC employee in the Channel Islands - they're always, without exception, on the side of the tax abuser, excusing that abuse is legiitmniate use of loopholes and so on. It's not questioning - they put it as fact.<\/p>\n<p>And that's wrong.<\/p>\n<p>I wonder if complaints to the BBC are justified in this case.
