It was a capacity crowd.

As far as I can tell, from what many people said, it was a really good session. Across the whole team, we heard only one slight complaint, which was that I was not always technical enough. For a large crowd, not all of whom are experts, that was a decision, not a mistake. So, I am relieved. I can show confidence. It is bult in a solid foundation of worry.

My thanks then to:

Clive Parry, who was brilliant.

To John Christensen, for joining me for the last session and for supplying support, as ever.

To my son, James, whose idea this was and who did a lot of work to make it happen.

To Tom, for videoing and also worrying about all the details, as I can rely on.

To Ed 'Murphy' (for the day: you had to be there to understand the joke), who joined in for the day, and offered his calm help.

To Jacqueline, who is the bedrock of what I do, and whose enthusiasm and active support for my work are more important than most people realise.

And then my thanks to all who asked questions and the many more who wanted to when we ran out of time.

Thanks as well to those who bought the merchandise. We sold out of everything we took. We could have sold a lot more mugs. Maybe we should sell them online.

Will we do more? Not today. I am feeling physically tired. The adrenaline ran well into the night. I stood, talked, thought, and performed, having to think with a lot of care about the exact next word for six hours, and it's been a while since I have done that for so long. But I enjoyed it. This week, we will look at potentially doing this again. Leeds is the most likely next venue.

So, thank you, all.

And this was the team, after the event:

Tom, James, me, Jacqueline and Ed.

I want to say thank you to all who came to yesterday’s event in Cambridge.
