For once, I have to agree with The Telegraph. They have said this in an email this morning:<\/p>\n

The Green Party has swept to victory in the Gorton and Denton by-election and plunged Sir Keir Starmer\u2019s leadership into further crisis.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Anyone seeking to deny that is fooling themselves.<\/p>\n

Just look at the stats, again:<\/p>\n

This is what rejection looks like. This was not just a mid-term swing. This indicates a reappraisal when people have realised a party has failed.<\/p>\n

Only one person can own that failure. That is Starmer. How can he survive this? I do not think he can. I also suspect no one will want to replace him until the scale of the total humiliation in the English local election results, plus in those for the Senedd and Holyrood, is recorded in May.<\/p>\n

Then, no doubt, he will be off to join Palantir or some other board that will welcome him with open arms and where he will feel very at home.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
