matter"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Yesterday's poll that <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/channel\/UCGlMOIZ1A3zluwLXTGpzZfw\/posts\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">we posted<\/a> on YouTube received a surprisingly large response. 16,000 people had voted by early this morning, and the message was clear:<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-large I feel that:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>People are decent<\/li>\n<li>The message is getting through<\/li>\n<li>Doing this is worthwhile.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>And, of course, I know all about selection bias amongst those voting, but so what: that does not invalidate any of the conclusions.<\/p>\n<p>People matter is the message, and I could not agree more.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.taxresearch.org.uk\/Blog\/2025\/12\/16\/inequality-is-a-political-choice\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">equivalent poll here<\/a> produced this result:<\/p>\n<p><img
