Under the leadership of its exceptional editor, Laura Webster, for whom it is a pleasure to work, they have taken the courageous stance of calling out abuse and naming those responsible.<\/p>\n<p>When I am asked whether the change is possible, I always say that it is.<\/p>\n<p>When I'm asked for evidence that a difference exists, this is the sort of thing that I present.<\/p>\n<p>In a world where compliance is required, uniformity is demanded, and dissent is punished, we must have a paper like The National that is willing to speak truth to power.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><b>Comments\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n<p>When commenting, please take note of this blog\u2019s comment policy,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.taxresearch.org.uk\/Blog\/about\/comments\/\">which is available here<\/a>.
